WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga is a profound ancient science. It is a way of living life consciously and joyfully. The body is invited
to open into stretches with meditative awareness with Kripalu Yoga. As the breath flows into the stretch a deep relaxation

What is Hatha Yoga?
Hatha Yoga is about the physical movements done in every style of yoga. These physical Postures,
called Asanas, are only 1/8th of what Yoga is all about. Yoga has 8 paths. Kripalu Yoga is very much
about Postures, but also addresses all the other 7 aspects, which is what actually differentiates yoga from exercise.
What are the differences between Iyengar,
Ashtanga, Bikram, Kundalini, Viniyoga and Kripalu styles of Yoga?
I teach Kripalu style. It is gentle, yet very deep and designed to help to find your spiritual
center. Iyengar, Ashtanga and Bikram are all names of the teachers who each popularized his own style of teaching
postures. They all require that you be in good physical condition before you begin. They could be described as "athletic"
or "vigorous", even at their beginners level. Kundalini is a very advanced specific technique, usually not taught
until the student is already proficient in yoga. Beware of teachers who are ready to teach you "secrets" before you are prepared
with the basics. Viniyoga means connecting the breath and the awareness with the postures, it is one aspect of
Kripalu Yoga, which connects the breath and the awareness with postures, plus a lot more. Kripalu Yoga has been described
as a Meditation In Motion, or a Meditative Flow, thus transcending body, mind and ego.

Gentle stretching exercises, rhythmic breathing and deep relaxation techniques are stressed in the beginning

room with wonderfully soft carpet, and a corner view of the trees. The vibrations are those of love. We leave our shoes downstairs,
and accend to whatever level we wish to attain. I teach at your level.
Private sessions are an hour. There is a bargain rate for 4 hours, if paid in advance. We
schedule at your convenience. You get my full and undivided attention for a full hour. You get to tell me your needs and limitations,
