Why I Teach
I teach because I feel good when I teach. It helps me fulfill my Mission, and it keeps me young!
Working as a psychotherapist I realized that my clients were no longer satisfied to live with the beliefs that were handed
down to them by parents, extended family, and teachers. As they began to examine those beliefs I got my Certification as a
Yoga Teacher so I could assist them in opening their body as well as their mind through an increased blood supply. This
helped tremendously by giving them the confidence to explore and give up outdated value systems and forge new meaningful ones.
They began to realize that they could get what they wanted- be it material things or such things as love, contentment, peace,
or good relationships. So I wrote a book about how to do it. See below to order the book.
My Family
Skip this paragraph if you don't want to hear me bragging about my husband (who grinned and supported me thru all
this training) and my 4 wonderful children, now adults with families of their own. And now the best of the bragging -- the
grandchildren-- 6 of them. Each one is brighter, more beautiful, smarter, nicer, etc. than is even believable, so I leave
it to you. Could a 1 1/2 year old be speaking sentences? She is. Could a 22 year old be talented and smart enough to be earning
a full time salary while attending college and getting all A's? And on and on. Each one special and loveable.

TRAINING
AND CERTIFICATIONS
I began my career as a Home Economics Teacher after getting a double degree, Bachelor
of Science and Home Economics Education from Brooklyn College, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
My second round of training started at the Institute of Awareness in Philadelphia when
it opened in 1968, when I was 41. During the 4 years I attended I studied, and was Certified in many modalities, such as Communication
Skills, Parent Effectiveness Training (PET), Teacher Effectiveness Training, Leader Effectiveness Training,
Transactional Awareness (T.A.), and Woman's Lib Support Groups Leader.
I have an M.Ed. from Temple University in Psycho-Educational Processes, and a Psy. D. which is a practical
doctorate, in Psycology. Other trainings which confered Certification are:
